Clinton does not deserve my respect, nor does he have it. He lost it by dealing with petty things in petty ways.

Clinton left a world on the verge of explosion. He ignored the al Qaeda threat, turning down opportunities to quash it. He fostered an unrealistic stock bubble, leading to vast losses and a recession. He failed to prosecute Enron or any of the other corporate cheats, leaving that task to his successor.

But he did entertain with his charisma and charm, much as any actor would. No wonder Hollywood loves him.
