Exactly! It's actually pretty pathetic to be a conservative in 2004. It means you have to accept and reguritate blatant government and talk-show propaganda. They no longer have any principles to stand on like smaller less restrictive government.

To tell you the truth, I think at least since the advent of the atomic bomb after WW2, war is just another profit making scam used by the wealthy elites to increase their wealth. In the wealthy elites worldview, what difference does it make if some working slob dies in one of their factories or dies in some far off land fighting in one of their wars? It doesn't matter to them, as long as that working slob died in the service to the profit machine. War is a profiteering scam. Sure, you could become rich over a lifetime of running a factory, but why wait a lifetime when you can become rich in a year if a war increases your orders 20-fold? War is probably the easiest way to become rich, followed closely by the oil trade. Which is one of the reasons the world is such a damn bloody mess with constant wars. There is no incentive to prevent or stop wars.
