No, there is more than one person to blame.

You do not negotiate (a) virgin Saudi soil (b) Palestine land ownership by terrorism. You negotiate over a table. At least we in the 21st century do.

The opponents in this war are far from sane. They are reacting like barbarians and have provoked their enemy to anger. When the US is angry and vengeful it reacts with fury and strength. Just look back in history.

So yes, the US is to blame. But the radical Islamics and nutty dictators (I seem to recall that Saddam invaded a country once too!) are just as guilty.
