What you say is correct. I have been to and worked at the LM facility referred. The launch of the last project I worked on - a NASA sapce telescope - was controlled from there. I was in the Mission Control Center at that facility for the 3 weeks following launch as the satellite was checked out before being shot to its final orbit approximately 100 miles behind the earth in the same orbit.
