"Clinton gave us 4% unemployment, low inflation and a balanced budget. Bush gives us 5.6% unemployment, higher inflation and a $500 Billion budget deficit." I actually marveled at the low inflation part of the Clinton presidency. I concluded that the success was due to NAFTA and GATT which produced price competition that prevented inflation with a growing money supply. Unfortunately a corner stone of the leftist candidate is against NAFTA and GATT - and free trade in general. A kerry presidency based on his espoused principals would be a financial disaster - due to a return of inflation and the corresponding necessary increase in money ratess.
