I sensed a bit of glee in tejek's post.

Very disturbing to see an American celebrate violence......maybe tejek isn't an American?

By November, Iraq will join Afghanistan as another excellent example of the successful introduction of freedom and an incipient democracy that will have begun to take root.

LOL. I didn't know you did standup. BTW who told you things were going well in Afghanistan?

Remember: the New York Times wrote off the Germany of 1946 as a failed effort of the Western alliance.

Now look at Germany, and France, and Poland, And Italy, and Afghanistan, and next Iraq.

Therein lies the crux of the problem.......you all keeping thinking that Iraq is just another Germany or Japan. This runs to the very fallacy of your thinking and has caused Mr. Bush et al to be so wrong for so long.

How dense can you all be that you don't learn from your mistakes?

The march of freedom cannot be stayed. It may be delayed but it is overpowering in the longer term.

Ask the Soviet Union, dude.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.............70 years at $100 billion per year.....we'll be broke well before Iraq has democracy.

Dude, too many drugs in the 60s?

You mean like this?

news.bbc.co.uk

"Governor flees Afghanistan rebels

A renegade militia commander has taken
control of a provincial capital in
Afghanistan, causing the governor to flee
amid heavy fighting. ..."

P.S. Have you sent your re'sume' to Jay Leno yet?! ;-)
