That's exactly what's happening today. They have successfully pushed the US to fight the Iraq war for them (Bush administration has cooperated with them 100%, of course). Iran and Syria are the next targets on the list as we all know. Clearly, they are waiting for that opportunity very closely. If Chomsky's book title "America's quest for global dominance" is changed to "America's quest for global dominance under Israelis' Leadership" or "Israel's quest for global dominance by proxy", it would be more truthful to the reality we are seeing.
