Mani, RE: "know I will make people cringe for saying this, but I think we need someone like Buchanan, I wish he was running. Mani"

Buchanan is a bit racist, but at least he's extremely honest about his position and you at least know where he stands, which means there's the possibility to debate him. He comes across as someone who would change his strong opinion if presented with convincing facts.

I like his sense of fiscal responsibility a lot. He also comes across as a guy who would get to the bottom of those strange so-called "art" students (that were actually engineers) and determine what they were doing in the USA visiting military and technology areas. He's a no nonsense guy who doesn't beat around the push.

I bet he'd also throw the switch towards alternative energies and get us less dependent upon middle east oil that currently makes us a focal point of interest by terrorists.

Regards,
Amy J

Re << I am not in love with Kerry but you can not stay home on election day! No one of reason can.......I believe its that serious!>>

I am fiscal conservative, don't believe in minimum wage, welfare and large government. Nor do I believe in affirmative discrimination. It would be hypocritical of me to vote for Kerry.

If you're looking for the party of fiscal conservatism, its not the GOP; at least not since WW II:

If I was going to vote for either of the two, it would most definitely be Bush, but he is doing a very good job of convincing me not to vote. I know I will make people cringe for saying this, but I think we need someone like Buchanan, I wish he was running.

I understand your ambivalence. However, Buchanan isn't running........just Kerry and Bush. Sometimes you have to make a choice that is the lesser of two evils.

Bush is dangerous.........that should be enough reason to vote for Kerry.

Funny, because my wife thinks Kerry is doing a good job convincing her not to vote, either. And she hates Bush.
