the allied and Stalin agreed to split europe Hitler and Stalin made such an agreement while most of Europe was free. Though Hitler went back on the deal. The Allies had to accept an accomplished fact of Russian occupation at the end of the war. what former colonies always need, landreform Communism was much more than "land reform". And most of the European countries occupied by Russia at the end of the war had been independent before the war and not colonies.
