He claims the fish don't know what kind of rod you have.

A wise man that son of yours is.

One of the old timers wading out had all of the flies he
needed attached to his vest and hat. Not a large variety.

He explained that many of the young guys like to go with
what is the latest and greatest without learning how to be
a fish or a fly.

I think I may try to do what that old man does.
