A note on the disqualification of the Williams and Toyota teams.... It seems to me that if the cars were inspected AND QUALIFIED prior to the race i.e. during QUALIFICATION time, the cars go into what is called "PARK FERME” i.e. no one touches the cars and the cars are inspected 'ready for the race' Then.... How come the organizers, marshals, stewards, and any other bureaucrat in charge of the organizing body of the Grand Prix, (in this case the Canadian Grand Prix) do not right there and then... upon inspection, do not call for the infraction and therefore... although a penalty may be imposed (such as a number of places in the grid, or a number of seconds against the qualifying times... NO... Instead, they do what bureaucrats love to do and that is to destroy the efforts of their human fellows in a display of ego-power and disqualify the teams AFTER the race? I am not denying that the teams made an error (intended or not) but the objective of an organizing and governing body ought to be constructive NOT DESTRUCTIVE. But of course, such is a too much of a common sense idea for a bureaucrat to comprehend, particularly the bunch of amateurs that the GP organizers of each and every country do... indeed most of the participants probably do this once a year as part of their 'duties' of the respective organizing Automobile Club of 'ABC' country.... It is high time to hire professional race stewards, marshals and officials so the SAME standard is applied throughout the world... Instead of these YAHOO decisions throwing away fine efforts such as Ralf's JP's and Christian's during the Canadian Grand Prix...
