All of your guesses make sense. I'm still baffled, though. Shit, I can't even get my parents or sister to see the irony/hypocrasy. I think it's more inertia than anything else. When it's a choice of going with what you know versus taking a chance on change, folks will leave "well enough" alone.....until it's intolerable. Got "frog in a pot"?
