CBOE: growing volume at new futures subsidiary By Kate Gibson
CHICAGO (CBS.MW) -- Trading volume at the nearly three-month-old CBOE Futures Exchange reached 4,129 contracts last week, the highest weekly tally since the Chicago Board Options Exchange subsidiary opened March 26, the CBOE said Monday. In addition, futures exchange open interest stood at 7,906 contracts on June 16, a 52 percent hike over the open-interest volume of 5,196 contracts reached on May 10, the options exchange said. The electronic futures exchange offers futures on the CBOE's benchmark volatility index and Standard & Poor 500 three-month variance futures.
