You can say that about any country at any time. It is, therefore, a ridiculous thing to say, and we wouldn't want the Russians trotting around the globe acting that way (or God forbid, the Chinese...I can see it now "It would be too late to wait for Taiwan to become a threat, we had to take it out now." Uh huh. Oh yeah. You're going to like that when you hear it from another side. No doubt it will be "different" when "they" use the same lame excuses we have used. But it really won't be)
