EC is now trying to get a mining company up and running. (At least I am hoping its a mining company ) Due to the regulations that govern this game I think he has made the decision to stop posting.
I am not sure if I have my facts right, but I have this impression that there is a post out there someplace that says as much.

This will be my last post on silicon investor. (wild cheering) I have posted 10,656 posts since 1996, or 1332 per year (3.64 per day). No one has learned anything, but a lot of time was wasted and a lot of people got mad. Nothing real was accomplished and a lot of money was lost. All in all, it has been very dissatisfying. I thought I was a posting fool (widespread nodding of heads in agreement) but many beat me hollow in numbers of posts, one person alone with some 27,000 posts in the same time. My posts are generally longer, though. I believe with regard to total words posted on SI I am the champion hands down. Also, considering the volume and my weak proofreading, I have possibly generated more typos than any 20 posters.
I actually spent quite a while in 2000, 2001 hardly posting at all. Some days I put up to 15 posts on Gold Price Monitor, which now I do not even read.

I used to own 1000 mining claims in the province of Ontario. Now I do not own one, but most of the claims I used to own are now owned by other mining companies, and some of them are quite interesting, yielding sample values in diamonds and gold.

Really.
