Bush tried to do the right thing by ignoring terrorism in 2001 and by sitting there reading to kids as we were being attacked? He tried to do the right thing rushing into Iraq despite all the hokey evidence, or lack thereof? Let's just say he tries to do the right thing vis a vis extreme rightwing ideology, his campaign contributors and trying to swipe elections. There we'd agree. He is a big opportunist who will do anything to win, like most politicians, but he takes the cake.

As for FARENHEIT 9-11, don't pre-judge it. Just see it and then we can discuss if anything in it is phony or not. The reviews I've read state it's "very factual". BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE was also very factual. Rightwingers don't like these films so they blame the messenger, but the rightwing has a big big dark side. Always has, always will. it took a smiling personality like Reagan's to have enough teflon to sell their policies. GW has no such teflon anymore. He has lied to us far too many times.
