Rightwingers dont feel they have to prove anything. It's in their mass consciousness. Since their leaders lie and keep lying without ever apologizing or correcting themselves, they feel it is their patriotic duty to do the same. One of the greatest lies for instance is that lower taxes creates more tax revenues. Another is that pollution creates jobs. Another is that "it's your money" but it's not "your debt". Another is that criticizing Bush is criticizing America. The list goes on and on.
