So Tv and movies do not influence politics? Then I guess Bush just wasted 90 million on all those dishonest TV attack ads, huh? And "Passion Of Christ" didn't influence anyone? Nor did the week-long Reagan funeral? Of course big TV-movie events infleunce elections. Very-very much.

FORREST GUMP was a great film, but it had a vicious side to it aimed at long-haired Vietnam war protesters vs. the sweet southern boy. The headlines after the 1994 elections were that for the first time, the GOP had taken the south and dominated it. Dont think the two were not connected.
