If the Libertarians aren't interested in participating in statism and are individually freedom-oriented persons, why bother participating in the electoral process at all?

Well, there are a few answers that could be offered.

The primary reason is one that's also bandied about when the topic of democracy as a whole is put forth: one really has no choice but to be involved if, as the case is, the ultimate outcome of said election will affect all of us anyway.

Is it irresponsible to complain about fascism/statism/governmental bloat/coercion if we don't employ the singular tool we have of working against it or, in the event that we're in the minority, expressing our distaste for it? Perhaps, perhaps not; in any case, one could as easily vote for themselves or another write-in candidate as to not vote at all.

Ultimately, it's a personal choice.
