It's not really nit-picking. Moore distorted reality to convey his point. He was not being truthful to his viewers, that means you.

He was dishonest with Charleston Heston, and used that dishonesty to make a respected man look bad and clumsy.

He is simply not trustworthy. So, to me, his work is colored and slanted from the second it is released and I do not want to see his "opinion" masquerading as a documentary or being mis-construed as facts. So, I don't bother with his tripe.

You are the one who made me look into BFC. A quick inet search revealed the websites dealing with Moore's lies and Moore's responses. Moore's responses are weak and thin and do not adequately respond to the accusations. Did he technically lie. Maybe not. Was he deceitful and mis-leading? Absolutely.

Screw him and his "work." If that is what the left accepts as truth, meaning a legal interpretation of NOT a lie, then good for them, but i will not accept it nor respect those who offer it.

the only thing they could come up with was that Moore cut his film to make it look like one could pick up a gun at a bank without any paperwork involved. Talk about nit-picking.

Like you, I fell for this right-wing lie. I just discovered that the movie was 100% accurate.

When you see me going in to the bank and walking out with my new gun in "Bowling for Columbine" – that is exactly as it happened. Nothing was done out of the ordinary other than to phone ahead and ask permission to let me bring a camera in to film me opening up my account ...

... Within 10 minutes, the "OK" came through from the firearms background check agency and, 5 minutes later, just as you see it in the film, they handed me a Weatherby Mark V Magnum rifle

It's hard to keep up with the stream of lies that is cranked out by the right-wing machine.
