Things started to go liberal around the turn of the century, very slowly at first, acceleratated durring WWI and after the Bolshevik revolution and accelerated again during the 1930s and 1940s and again in the 1960s and 1970s. You would be hard pressed to demonstrate that the country was founded on all the communist "utopia" ideals that don't work because man only works in his own self interest. Only terror and 120 million murders later, the liberal communists still don't get it.
