Kerry is the most left wing, liberal member of the Senate. He couldn't even get the left to go along with him, leading to 19 very unmemorable, nondescript years marking time.

He shouldn't even be the nominee. Dean self-destructed, and Kerry cheated to get a loan to save his failing campaign.
