When I watch Hannity yell over any guest who is trying to honestly answer a question, or I see him obsess about Clinton's penis but refuse to discuss a much better economy than under Reagan (whiule he treated Reagan as if he was Christ), it reminds me of what is really happening. If you study Nazi Germany you also see that one-party rightwing nationalism right or wrong and backed by propaganda was the new religion. In our case, the rightwing wants to anoint Bush (the new Reagan supposedly) as "God's choice" to lead a new "endless war" against the infidels and liberals. No matter if he and Cheney are oil business types who serve as lobbyists for polluters and industrial mega-powers. Anyway, they had their chance and what has been the result so far? Massive lies to the American people, a fracturing of democracy, alliances and crackdown on open media and free speech (only mellowing a bit for election year) and massive corruption (the phony energy crisis and 18 billion Halliburton contract being just two of the most visible results). Then I see Bushies refusing to debate with facts, covering up constantly, never admitting mistakes or apologizing (while accusing Clinton of not "apologizing" for having sex) and resorting immediately to name-calling, trying to slander anyone who tells the truth and demean anyone who's left of far right, even McCain or Richard Clarke. In short, Bushies stink and deserve no sympathy. They have forsaken the moderate middle and deserve to be taken out with extreme prejudice. It is a very patriotic thing to do and really is for their own good. Bushie rightwingism is the dark side of Reaganism gone amok. John Kerry to the rescue.
