Sure a good argument would do it.

Do you recall that another poster here posted the opinion that abortion has had the effect of lowering the US crime rate. If you recall, I agreed that that seemed very plausible.

There is nothing incorrect in pointing out that abortion has impacts on society. I've posted a couple studies that indicated that abortion has a measureable impact on the total number of children born. A perfectly reaonable finding of course. Also studies show abortion is more common among some parts of society than others and the impact on the reproduction rate of those social groups is greater. So it will have a demographic impact over time.

I don't see that these ideas should be very controversial. They're pretty much common sense given what we know about the relative frequencies of abortion among various groups in our society.

Look, what I posted about the likely political impact of abortion makes sense to me. Of course, relevant abortion rates is only one of a multitude of factors (like the economy, issues of war and peace, immigration, and cultural evolution) which are likely to have an impact on future political orientations of the American population. So basically I'm saying I believe abortion is making American society more conservative than it otherwise would be sans abortion.
