I read that the Philippines had some election trouble. Did that straighten out? Anything popping on the Militant Muslim front? Pretty much business as usual on both counts. The better (best of 5, actually) candidate won the election, probably with some cheating involved. Lots of protest from the opposition, who had some legitimate points, but are such a bunch of total wankers that they couldn't exploit them. Pretty typical. Where else in the world does it take a month to count the votes?
