I love this quote. Clinton makes it sound like he fought the entire Bosnian war himself, lobbing grenades and charging machine gun nests, Audie Murphy style.

I wonder if we would have as much war on this planet if the leader always had to lead the battle charge. Had we strapped GWB to the first tank rolling into Iraq or given LBJ an M16 and had him walk around the jungle getting shot at, those two wars might not have happened. Modern warfare techniques enforce the cowardice of leaders. If a war is important enough to risk the soldiers, it's important enough to risk the president. If he really believes that God is on his side as much as he claims, then he would have no fear for his own life.
