One may be crazy to own HLSH, but having owned it might be what did me in :-).

Had a great weekend here in the hay country. Weather was fantastic, not too hot and not too cold. Picked two varieties of peaches, two varieties of figs, and plums from our own trees. The doughnut peaches ripened suddenly, Wife and I traipsed around the neighborhood giving away bags of peaches. Must have harvested over 100 peaches, but looking at the tree you'd think it hadn't been touched.

More good news, and that is that the granite went into our kitchen on Friday, and it looks stunning.

Then came the bad news. On Saturday the folks who were supposed to do the kitchen tile (backsplash) work completely backed out. Now our kitchen will remain partially torn up until we can find someone to replace them. And that could be weeks. PuddleWife was ready to tear the world apart when they dropped that bomb on us.

So, we won some and we lost some. Maybe next week will be better.

Have fun!
