I never said that BS. Actually the Monica Lewinsky investigation really hurt our national defense. The rightwing really hurt the country with that one. Can you imagine if DEmocrats were now spending a whole year dragging GW Bush through the mud for some personal sex or drug accusation while his administration is supposed to be fighting terrorism? Same deal. It was a huge waste of time and energy which KEPT Clintonites from doing what needed to be done on defense, Social Security, MEdicare and many other things. Maybe that was what the rightwing wanted, to utterly stop all progress and then execute a extreme rightwing coup d'etat using GW Bush posing as a moderate.
