Shucks, I just want to support the sheriff when I can, or the thread will become a mess. Since partisanship is easily lit on the thread, there is reason to be careful how electoral politics are discussed. I am glad we agree that it is not forbidden entirely. I think you have gotten more of a cuffing then you would ordinarily, like the lone driver on a stretch of highway who speeds a few miles over the limit, without a lane of cars to hide in. But you handled it charmingly, and so there seems to be no lasting harm.........
