My friend who just got back from Iraq because of an injury said when they could eat in a green zone or where Kellog, Brown and Root were in charge the chow was good. When eating off the economy he only ate beef and bread which was cooked outdoors and good. The Iraqis don't wash their veggies before cooking them so if you haven't lived there all your life it's like a gut bomb. He did say the Indians were in charge of the food service at many of the hotels they stayed at and they always got sick from that food. Started caging MREs from the troops to eat when staying at the hotels.
