<<<The good thing about Iraq is that we get to fight them on their own turf rather than having them come here and blow stuff up. It's really a brilliant strategy if you think about it. If we just packed up and left Iraq the extremists would still be trying to kill us. >>>

Dude, Iraq was the last place we should have invaded. SaudiArabia? Pakistan? Maybe. But not Iraq. Saddam had his loons under control. They had nothing to do with 9/11. Is Iraq crawling with extremists now? Sure, since we took out the law that kept them in line. Freaking Bin Laden called Saddam an infidel on numerous occasions. How obvious can it get? Heck, crushing Islamic fundamentalism was in Saddam's interest as much as it is in ours.

Doesn't it bother you the slightest bit that 10,000 shia nuts are marching in the streets of Basra or Najaf chanting anti-US slogans daily? They weren't pulling this chit when the strongman was in power. Falluja is replacing Afghanistan as a safe haven for Al Queda as we speak. We created that situation for Christ's sake! We aren't willing to roll that city with our Marines, too much collateral damage. The Bathists didn't give crap, they rolled places like that mercilessly.

Sorry man, Iraq is a huge shitstorm, and it ain't gonna be over for a long time. I'm all for stomping our enemies. Its a god damn shame our wonderful military is being pissed away on a misguided cause, simply because rigid, arrogant, leaders are calling the shots. Leaders who avoided combat when their time came. Leaders who have little understanding of war and how it works.

Jesus, man, get a grip.

The women and children that are dead from car bombs aren't much different from the women and children that are dead from Shock and Awe.

Why don't you join the US soldiers in Iraq, then? Oh wait, I forgot it is easier to talk about fighting...

if it was up to me any Al Qaida or other terrorist type combatant would have a lot worse sh*t
