re Volkswagen, BMW -
I see that Volkswagen stock has come down quite a bit. It probably would be a buy if the current CEO Pitschesrieder were not at its helm. For reference, Herr P. used to run BMW and can be credited with the Rover acquisition, which cost BMW many $'s or Euro. I consider Pitschesrieder dangerous and his current track record at Volkswagen does not lead me to revise my harsh judgement. under his helm, VW dodged the launch of the new VW Golf, it's bread and butter car. Germans consider this car uninspiring and overpriced. This is going to be hard to fix. In the car sector i would rather consider the Frenchies Peugeot or Renault if i were shopping for bargins. They are not trading near 52W lows but still might be the better investments going forward.

FWIW, i still hold a full position in BMW preferred's and have not intention of selling. BMW continues to execute and outperform it's German archrival Mercedes (DCX).
