Rightwingers started all the attacking. It began getting really dirty against Dukakis, then again during the Monica Lewinsky "let's assassinate Clinton" period. Then in 2000, even more in 2002 and is worse than ever now. If you listen to a cad like Hannity for instance, he spends all day parroting total lies about John Kerry. As if that's doing the country any good at all. Today he was saying Kerry will raise taxes on everyone (a lie). That he was weak on defense (a double lie). That ishe would hand the US military over to the UN (triple lie) and he just keeps right on going. What's happened is that finally most people are mad as hell and won't take that crap anymore.
