today hedge funds are no different than aggressive mutual funds in their investment philosophy - aside most new hedge fund managers are more sales man than real investors.

They call themselves hedge funds only to be able to take speculative positions in a variety of assets - long or short and in a nutshell are big contributors to financial markets instability - but WS thieves and swindlers lower them as they provide hefty fee revenue.
