Rightwingers like the feeling of ruthlessness. It makes them feel less impotent I guess. No wonder many of them are guys who never served in combat, never got along well with girls, never did much sports. The battle is for the reasonable middle. So far Kery has run a great low-key campaign, solidly moving into the middle and claiming it. Bush remains off on the right talking to friendly crowds, talking about God and war a lot. Still never underestimate the trickiness of the current GOP. They will try to pull a few fast ones on us before November.
