I hope your wrong KT. I'm not a big fan of globalism by any means. I definitely don't support any kind of colonialist activity.

It's amazing to me that the brit's and the french haven't caught any flak for there past colonialism. Many of the countries that are problem countries now are former colonies and they have hatred for the west that comes from their memory of being under the thumb of someone else.

I'm hopeful that Iraq may turn out ok but it may be that they can't function under a democracy and the whole thing falls apart. Seems to be working in Afghanistan though to an extent.

If they are holding elections in a Iraq on a regular basis it seems that it would be tough for a us puppet to maintain power. My biggest concern is that they vote in a hardcore religous party and end up as Iran jr. Once they gain power they'll end elections very quickly imo.
