Ted, I believe we need to stop with this annual subsidy garbage.
I believe so, too, except for three reasons:

- Israel is a democracy with strong economic and cultural ties to America.

Germany has strong cultural and economic ties to the US....how much aid do you think we provide them?

- No one is demanding that subsidies to the Palestinians ought to be halted.

It runs about $100 million per year........I see no reason why it should be maintained if we drop the subsidies to Israel.......or better yet why not $100 million a piece?.

- I don't believe in the Buchanan isolationism doctrine, which is a policy that ought to be applied consistently, not selectively.

Dropping a $4.2 annual subsidy does mean we have to become isolationists.
