Your are right about impeachment taking too long -- I also meant that he would be convicted in the Senate and removed from office. In not doing so, Congress has given up their 1/3 power. Since the Supreme's already gave up about 1/2 their power, shrub appears to have 5/6th of the balance of power right now. After the election, it will be time to get that other 1/6th.

"What is my biggest fear? Bush being reelected and then having a bunch of Supreme Court nominations!!!! Does that scare anyone? "

I don't know why I am allowing myself to be drawn into this discussion. But this notion that a Bush appointed Supreme Court would take our liberties or do great harm totally ignores the fact that the liberal democrat appointed Supreme Court appointments have created a monster. The fact is the Courts have simply become an unelected super legislatures that do not have to answer to voters under the liberal appointments. The liberal wing of the Supreme Court does not believe in liberty or freedom (unless you are a criminal). They believe in imposng their view of the good, the true and the beautiful on the rest of us.

I suspect that what you really object to is that a Bush appointed Supreme Court might impose a different view of the good, the true and the beautiful on you.

Would a Bushie Supreme be any better or worse with regard to usurping our liberties. Probably not--- just different.
