"But much more liberal countries have much less murder" So do some more conservative ones (Singapore for example). Your comparison is meaningless (do you know what that means?). A dodge of the issue that you seem to be afraid to discuss. "All you have is an opinion undermined by evidence" This is an opinion forum, I believe. To you it is a some kind of a Sunday newspaper word game where you like to correct people's use of the language, even when it is used properly. "And the northeast has less murder than the south" Not as many ghettos. I am really trying to get you (or anybody) to discuss the problems in our inner cities where black folks (the ones the dems claim to care about) are killing each other at an astronomical rate. I think (as I have stated) that some conservative values like staying together as a family, working hard to improve your situation, being tough on crime, being tough on the fathers who ditch their families, etc. could help to slow down and even fix this situation. Haven't been able to get your views on these points. But I will wait for my next grammar lesson. "It's just a matter of degree really" I acknowledge that we have some socialistic policies, but do not consider the U.S. a socialist country. I do believe the dems are trying to make it one. But at this point I will call us a capitilistic representative democracy. You can call us socialist if you want. You could even argue to make it more socicialist if you want. But you seem to be afraid to share your views. "Well they (France) have less murder than we do and last time i checked that's what we were talking about" Wow. Great solution. Thanks for the inspiring dialog. I see that your solution IS to become France (or move there, I'm not sure). Singapore has a much lower murder rate too btw. Much, much lower. So from your comparative logic we should go that way. Forty lashes and all that. Oops. That is exactly the opposite of France. Maybe if you just stick to the grammar lessons.
