And here's the real one. The minis look like an easy to manipulate contract in all the futures. First, the players don't have deep pockets. You try to manipulate real cocoa futures and the guys you are trying to break may be Nestle and Hershey's. That doesn't happen in the minis because the big hedgers don't play there.

The question any investigator would have to ask right off the bat is why is this large player playing mini contracts? Secondly, it is some coincidence that announcements from the govt. seem to coincide with his trades. And, third and most importantly, a regulator should be able to get name, address and phone number of the person or persons. They don't have to reveal it, but if they can't get the info, that account should be toast.
