If you are really concerned or interested there are many explanations on this thread, over the last 8 years.

What is your position in SGI? Surely you don't hang out here just to trash the stock.

That's exactly what you've been doing for years on the Moderated AMD thread, while occasionally claiming to be long shares with various combinations of puts & calls. Your broker must be making a mint, but we have no way of verifying anyone's position, so what difference does it make?

I agree with Don about SGI. Maybe we're wrong and SGI will rise from the ashes. But they haven't made money for so many years that I've lost count. He's been making his point for years and been right all along.

This thread used to be really active, with a lot of bright posters. Anyone who's been reading it for years can see that the quality of the posters has gone way down. Most of these people really ought to get out in the fresh air at the race track.

SGI is the one company that bet the ranch on Intel's Itanium, and it's only a matter of time until Intel pulls the plug on it. When I saw SGI triple in January, I thought maybe there was going to be some kind of consolation prize where Intel bought them out or paid H-P to absorb them when Itanium is cancelled.
