Didn't Daddy Bush attempt a coup in 1981?

Hinckley shot Reagan. Hinckley's father (a Texas oilman) had been a big campaign contributor to Bush as he tried to beat Reagan in the primaries. Hinckley's brother was an executive at a company which was under investigation by federal authorities. His brother was also scheduled to have dinner with Neil Bush the day after the assassination.
