I don't know of any anti-discrimination laws which force people to pay people for work that wasn't done!...Get real, Tim!

Neither do I. I was not talking about paying someone for work that was not done. I'm talking about having to pay someone when you don't want them to do the work but you have to give them the job anyway.

"Should a bigot be required, by force of law, to give blood to someone he hates if the person he hates would die without it?"

NO.

Why not? Its descrimination based on racial or ethnic reasons on a matter of life or death that has a very negative impact on the person descriminated again and you seem to have little problem with forcing people to treat others fairly in other instances. What fundimental principle will allow for discrimination in providing blood but make descrimination in providing vital medical care illegal?

The proof to overthrow the status quo is your requirement--not mine.

I'm not expecting the status quo to change or insisting that you provide proof to prevent it from being changed. I am just stating the fact that the current legal regime in this area goes beyond the limits set by the words of the Constitution. If anything I expect the government to go further beyond the constituents. Such a result is more likely that it will start to limit itself to its constitutionally authorized duties and powers.
