Heh, 40% before the refund? Geez, I think I pay $20 for a hot dog at the local ball park ... but that's before change. ;-)

It is worse. I highly doubt her TAX withholdings are that (even before refund). She may be paying up to 15% into 401k, she may be paying her portion of medical insurance, if she is a deadbeat (being a girlfriend of a tax cheat, it would not surprise me) she may have some wages garnished (I am guessing here). These things are withheld, but are not taxes.

And BTW, he blames Bush for his girlfriend's taxes being too high, the guy who lowered his girlfriend's taxes. This tell you what kind of intellect we are dealing with here.
