If productivity is still high, then the growth in GDP still means a jobless recovery. Add in a huge increase in energy costs (not just oil but nat gas) and other 'off the books' items (food and energy are not included in the inflation basket after all) like milk and Starbux coffee....

The entire sub $200K/year population is simply working to sustain the $200K/year plus population. We are now a third world country.
