I would have a payment (sort of a "refund" even if it exceeds the amount paid it) for each child (US citizen or permanent resident).

Do you really think the U.S. population is so low that growth has to be subsidised?

So, Joe, what do you think is a fair percentage for the rich to pay in taxes?

Income taxes? My latest thinking is that all taxes should be zero, except consumption taxes, such as VATs. Then, I would have a payment (sort of a "refund" even if it exceeds the amount paid it) for each child (US citizen or permanent resident). This would be for welfare kids as well as kids of regular middle class families.

Huh? Bush/Cheney would never go for it. They need that $$$ for all their little wars. It ain't going happen!

Joe,

re: Then, I would have a payment (sort of a "refund" even if it exceeds the amount paid it) for each child

I don't have kids (a horse and a dog). I already pay extra taxes to support your child tax deductions. And I pay property taxes to school your kids.

Pay for your own damn kids. Unless you want to pick up my vet bills.
