Blood is thicker than water in Saudi Arabia, especially when your last name is Bin Lauden, and your family financed the Bushies.

Let me ask you this, if you and your family were financed in the millions by the brother of a crook and you were made Sheriff, wouldn't you be tempted to let the bad brother get away? Or at least treat him leniently? Or try to blame the crime on someone else? Especially if your financier's family were leaning on you? To go against your own best friends you would have to be a very hardnosed ethical type. Bush has a history of doing big favors for anyone who gives him money. Read "The Dirty Truth" if you don't believe me. It's all there, all the raw intelligence on Bush's money deals with polluters and Enrons in Texas.
