Well, humor usually starts with pain. The humor, laugh is the relief from the pain.
(one way or the other, if not, everyone just sobs)

Old Chaplin-Freudian stuff, a true pain until the guy tripping on that banana there is not "me", and after that it is "them-those-there" having those pains, me, us, over-here, can just laugh.

Los Lollywood has always understood these very basics of "fun" and "pain", but now they have to consider "documentaries" too.

That is, "pain" and "fun" have once again met each other at the very basic level.

Ilmarinen

Sorry, kind of "pain", but I do not have a link handy, but I would suggest any googling on something like "freud" and "humour" (I do not have, nor did I read those basics in english, but also not in hebrew)

I think he did two basic books??

PS. M-Moore seems to have understood that sobbing reaction too, from some funny US-media reactions..

PPS. However, one fo the first and best US offsprings is obviously one of my favorites:

prwatch.org

Better than Public Radio and more detailed "documentaries" of Bernays all over the world
