You are way behind the times. Old-style liberalism went out many years ago. I fought AGAINST Howard DEan because he reminded me too much of a feisty Dukakis or Mondale. I am for a much more centrist view of things, more Abe Lincoln meets JFK. Honesty, strength and compassion equally important.

Clinton brought in a new centrist type of thinking which accepted many ideas from the right and left both, and centrifyied many as well. Why not borrow what works from both sides and do what's best for the American People instead of some ideologues on the extremes?

I have always been against the "welfare state", massive deficit spending, the government trying to provide all the answers, punitive high taxes, waste and guzzling, election year conversions, shrill partisanship and both ultra hawkishness and pacifism. So why am I a "liberal"?

Yes I do agree with traditional liberals on some issues, but just as often I agree with the McCains and Hagels of the world. That is pragmatic centrist conservatives. I would love to see a Kerry-Hagel ticket, for instance. And not just because it's a winner, because it covers the spectrum as far as I'm concerned but leavesa out the extremes.

The problem with the Bushies is that they are corrupt, extremist rightwing ideologues and simply do not care about people or the environment. They literally do not seem to have a conscience and they seem bought and paid for by big corporate interests as well as the intolerate and ignorant rightwing Christians.

> I'm not even a liberal.

ROTFLMAO. I probably wouldn't admit it either. But you definitely are a liberal.

LOL. How about you? Have you admitted that you're a raging neocon?
