Being centrist means being a common sense moderate capable of seizing upon good ideas from any part of the political spectrum. Whatever works best. It m4eans being able to work with people well. Uniting instead of dividing. It means more honesty. It also means never selling out to either extreme the way Bush has to the far right

Bush ran as a centrist but it was all a lie. As soon as he got in power, he went straight for the far right and has stayed there ever since except for a few "compassionate" speeches during election seasons.

For instance now his EPA, the worst ever in terms of enforcing environmental law, is doing a roadshow to show how "green" they are. Just another big fat lie. Just because it's an election year, then they'd go back to serving the polluters.

Bush-Cheney represent the polluters, fat cats, Saudis and oil companies, and religious right. That is their base. Anyone else voting for them is just a dupe.
